Father Robert Palladino, a Master Calligrapher, and at one point, a Trappist monk taught a calligraphy course at Reed College in Portland, Oregon from 1969 until 1984. Steven Jobs the eventual creator of Apple Computer audited Father Palladino’s course during the 1970s because he didn’t have enough money to be enrolled at the college.
